Fly my kid was conceived and developed by Dennis Andrianov in the beautiful Sierra  Nevada Foothills of Northern California. Our small family style company is committed to helping parents have a pleasant and worry-free experience while planning their children's unaccompanied air travel. It is designed to be a one-stop place where all components of their minor's solo travel can be taken care of in a pleasant, time-efficient and cost-effective manner.

Flying kids alone is expensive and arranging it is taxing and tricky. We are here to help parents find the best route, safest connections and affordable price for their kids' air travel. We book their tickets and take complete care of all formalities associated with the unaccompanied minor travel. We also offer practical advice on how to best prepare for the trip. We keep it simple, pleasant and personal.

Our logo is a colorful kite which reminds us about that joyous and care-free state that we see in our children. We ourselves must not forget this delightful place in us by being busy and stressed-out adults.

We hope that by helping parents lighten at least one of their many burdens they could more fully share in the enjoyment of their kid's adventure.

Our Story

My daughter Sasha (who is now eleven) has been traveling every summer to Russia to visit her grand parents. She loves going there and cannot wait for the next summer to come. Traveling on the plane across the ocean is an exciting adventure for her and she is not at all afraid of  being on the long journey by herself.

But for us, her parents, it has always been almost terrifying to think of arranging yet another trip for her. Many times we were on the verge of canceling the whole thing. It was however not an option with so ardent a plea coming at us from both Sasha and her grandparents  oversees. So we had to face it.

Like other parents first we did not know where to start. So many questions remained unanswered: at what age can Sasha start flying by herself nonstop, at what age can she take connecting flights, which connections are allowed, what are the fees, what are the legal requirements, paperwork (does it need to be notarized and translated?), what insurance is recommended? And then it turned out that all these elements change from airline to airline (and from year to year too). There was not a single  number anywhere we could call and ask all these questions. We learned that one can not simply go online and book a ticket. Because of so many nuances we were required to call an airline to inquire about their services.

After the tiring meandering maze of the voice menus we would finally connect with a alive soul who in a heavy Indian or Chinese accent would quote some obscure small text from the official dusty file. We would spend an hour or so on the phone with say United only to learn in the end that they didn't have any flights Sasha could take for her trip that year. Well, we'd hang up and call Delta... and Virgin... and Lufthansa etc. There was no one out there who was specialized in kids unaccompanied travel.
Of course over the years we ourselves have learned a lot. I myself had already been involved in the travel business, so it occurred to me to create a service that was not available on the market up to then. I set out researching, studying  and comparing the policies of the major domestic and international carriers, reading their small texts, calling their customer service lines, speaking with the consulates of various countries, notaries and insurance companies.

We compiled all we had learned into the customer-friendly service that we now offer you so that you can breeze as free as your kids.

With us it's a breeze
